Junior Achievement

Become a volunteer for Junior Achievement! Give just 5 hours a year to a classroom in our school, and we’ll show you how big a difference you can make. JA partners business/community volunteers in the classroom to teach students lessons in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. You’ll get to share your expertise and experience with Lincoln’s students, contribute to their success, and show them that their community cares about their education. JA staff will work hard to match you with a grade and time slot that works best for you.

Cathedral is a 100% committed JA School, including a revolutionary capstone project that connects potential future entrepeneurs with some of the area's best business leaders. The JA staff provides a one-on-one training for you that takes just 45 minutes.  All the lessons are prepared for you in an easy to follow format. To join our JA Eagle Team call the JA office at 402-467-1741.

Careers in the Classroom

The Catalog of Guest Speakers is a classroom resource for our teachers to enhance their classroom instruction.  If you have an area of expertise or a hobby that the teachers could tie into a unit they are teaching, we would like to include you in our catalog. Whether you are a plumber, an artist, a gardener, a birdwatcher, a nurse, a banker...or anything in between- imagine how your real world experience could make science, math, history, or English come alive to a kid!

Take a few minutes to complete this form, and we will let the teachers know they can contact you to set up a date and time to share your passion with their students. Just 30 minutes of your time could spark a lifetime of learning. Send your form to the main office or to Emily Villa at This email address is being protected from spambots. Volunteer School Nurse Program

The school nurse program is run by volunteer nurses who are at school on a daily basis from 10am to 2pm. Many of our nurses also visit classrooms to discuss proper hand-washing technique, germs and other hygiene issues. Nurses administer medicine and also track and document asthmatic and diabetic students when not placing bandaids or distributing medications. Never a dull moment, if you are interested in volunteering your time and talent please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
