The mission of the religious education program (CCD) at Cathedral is to assist parents of public school students in grades 1 - 8 in the religious formation of their children. The Catholic Church has always taught that parents are the primary educators of their children. The religious education program provides systematic instruction to students to supplement the teaching and example of their parents. The goal of the program is to work cooperatively with parents to give their children a good knowledge, understanding, and love of their faith, so they are prepared to live a Christian life in today’s world. Daughters of Mary
Daughters of Mary is a prayer group for 5th and 6th grade girls. Our primary focus is to help your daughter(s) grow in faith through prayer, studying the lives of Saints, and works of mercy. Each month we will be making cards and a craft for our priests to take along during their First Friday visits to the sick and homebound. Sixth grade girls will be required to attend at least four lunch time prayers each month to stay a member. All members are required to attend at least five of the scheduled meetings. Daughters of Mary will meet once a month after school on a Thursday from 3:30-4:15. For more information click here.

Cathedral Abbey Program

Each team is assigned a patron and the charter members choose team colors as well as mottos for their Abbeys. The groups earn points for their Abbeys be participating in competitions, scoring well on selected tests, and by being named a St. Thomas Aquinas Academy Scholar each quarter. Team points accumulate with a winner named in May.
