Propelr is the easiest, most effective way to raise money for Cathedral of the Risen Christ school. Using Propelr, a re-loadable VISA Prepaid Card, works just like a debit card, but with donation percentages as high as 20% when used at participating merchants!
Dollar Days are sporadic events held inside the school that help create school spirit, raise money for school projects, and add variety to the daily routine. An example of a Dollar Day is the ability for students to wear a Nebraska Cornhusker shirt on the Friday before football season begins. To do so, each student is encouraged to bring at least $1.00 prior to the announced Dollar Day. This money is collected by the classroom teacher and put toward a specific goal or project.
$crip Program raises funds for the Cathedral Home-School Association, Godparent Program, PCCW, Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul Society. The $crip program sells gift certificates from various local merchants to parishioners. Each merchant sells certificates to the $crip program at a discount varying from 2% to 30%. The program then sells the certificates at face value. $crip is sold after all Masses except Sunday evening, and is also available during the week at the Rectory. All parishioners are encouraged to use $crip. Contacts: Church office, 402.488.0948; Kay Duncan, 402.420.7463.
Shoparoo is an incredibly simple and efficient version of the old "Box Top" program (though it has much more reach). In fact, it's so updated that it barely looks the same: it is run through an app (search for the free Shoparoo app) that asks you to take pictures of your receipts. Shoparoo then verifies the receipts and sends money to Cathedral. It's that simple, and every receipt enters Cathedral into a monthly national drawing for thousands of dollars.
